'Miraculous Wonders'
'Miraculous Wonders' was written from the wholesome perspective of a child. Children are the future and see beauty and magic in the little things that we may overlook. It describes the wonders of our planet as well as our responsibility to protect it.
Exploding with character and magical imagery, the song is sure to make the listener envision an almost fairytale like world when in fact it is our very own planet Earth that is being described. Self written and produced, the song took first prize in a global songwriting competition and has an uplifting, cinematic and liberating aura.
'Venomous'
'Venomous' is a toxic love story portrayed through a seamless fusion of heartfelt lyrics and infectious beats, Riya delivers a hypnotic vocal blended with urban flavours. The subject likens the love to resemble a 'forbidden type of fruit' or trusting in a venomous snake that could strike at any time, an experience that is no doubt widely relatable and resonating with listeners on a personal level.
Self-written and produced with extra production by Roy Kerr (London Grammar, Halsey, Aurora) and a music video to express the energy and essence of the song, Riya aims to display her artistry and performing ability.

Written and self-produced, ‘Own Way Home’ is about embarking on a journey of self discovery to find mental peace in a chaotic world that is fast paced, while not being afraid to cut your own path and do what is right for you. It’s about faith, hope, female empowerment and courage.

'You Take Up My Songs'
With an eyebrow raising title, "You Take Up My Songs", is described as having a cosy and comforting aesthetic, like the gentle warmth of a campfire. Although Riya is talking about a somewhat hopeless situation, the music says otherwise and radiates an energy of hope and optimism. Rustic and earth yet edgy, it projects an aura of clunky vintage rawness, authenticity with blooms of character and bursts of abstract vocal expressions.
It is said her voice has an almost enchanting quality to it as she pushes the boundaries of vocal colour and character, pulling in the listener with every vulnerable, quirky nuance. Having played the piano for over ten years, it is the musical medium she uses to help tell her stories and paint a thousand images which is reflected in her songwriting and unique sense of delivery.
